Frequently Asked Questions

How long should I study for?

Every student is different and will progress at different speeds. However, usually it is realistic to expect to increase by half a band score for every four-six weeks of study.
If you are not sure how long you should study, you can try our progress calculator and level test by clicking here.
Alternatively, please ask us.

Can I take a 1-week course?
The only option available for 1-week is a 30-lesson course.

Do I need to buy any materials or books for the course?
No, you will be given a course book; and all other materials are provided.

Will I have the same classmates for the whole course?

We operate a 'continuous enrolment system', so students come and go every week. However, the core of the class usually stays together for several weeks.

Who teaches the course?

The are always two teachers assigned to the morning programme. One is the main class teacher who takes three lessons each morning; and the second teacher takes one lesson. The teachers are always experienced IELTS tutors; and at least one of the teachers assigned to the course is an IELTS examiner.

If I want to cancel the course after I have booked it, do I get a refund?
If, having booked a course, you find you are unable to attend, you will be entitled to a refund, less the booking fee of £27.50, on condition that you notify the IELTS Department in writing at least 7 days before your course is due to start.

Can Eurocentres arrange accommodation for me if I don't live near the school?
Yes, we can provide you with a list of hotels/bed & breakfasts upon request; or arrange for you to stay in a homestay. Please contact us for more details/prices.
